IndigE-girl Comedy is a not for profit organization which provides new development and networking opportunities for Indigenous female comedians across Canada. Started in 2021, IndigE-girl Comedy has hosted several sold-out shows across Canada.

  • How does it work?

    The six-week workshop is held on Zoom, where you will be guided by established female comedians on how to write and perform a 5-minute stand-up set.

  • Do I need any experience?

    No experience is needed. Whether you're a seasoned comedian or just starting out, you're welcome to join and hone your skills. We accommodate both experienced and inexperienced comedians.

  • How much is the time commitment?

    Workshops run once a week for two-hour sessions. You will be expected to gather stories throughout the week to bring to the workshops. Participants will also receive a stipend to support their time commitment and work.

  • I live in a remote area can I still participate?

    Yes, you can still participate! Our workshops are conducted online via Zoom, so as long as you have internet access, you can join us from anywhere, even remote areas.

  • Do I have to perform at the end?

    Yes, all workshop participants will receive a payment for your final performance.
